Dermatology, nutrition, sleep, sexual health, tobacco cessation. Real specialists in New York, available by video in 30 minutes to 2 hours — not a three-month wait.
For things your primary care provider would refer you out for.
Acne, eczema, rashes, mole checks, skin cancer screening by photo.
Dermatology is one of the best fields for telehealth — most skin conditions can be diagnosed visually. We treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, rashes, fungal infections, warts, and many other conditions. For mole checks and skin cancer screening, we use high-resolution photos and refer to in-person dermatology if anything looks concerning. We can prescribe topical treatments, oral medications, and biologics when appropriate. What to have ready: clear photos of the affected area in good lighting, history of when it started, what you've tried, and any family history of skin conditions or cancer.
Registered dietitians for diabetes, weight, eating disorders, food allergies.
Our registered dietitians work with you on evidence-based nutrition for whatever your goal is — managing diabetes, losing weight, dealing with food allergies, eating disorders recovery, sports nutrition, or just eating better. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes for the first visit, 30 minutes for follow-ups. Most insurance plans cover nutrition counseling when there's a related medical diagnosis. What to have ready: a sense of what you eat in a typical week, your medical conditions, any food restrictions, and what feels hardest about eating well.
Insomnia, sleep apnea evaluation, home sleep studies coordination.
Sleep problems are common and very treatable. We evaluate insomnia, sleep apnea (snoring, waking up gasping, daytime sleepiness), restless leg syndrome, and other sleep disorders. For sleep apnea, we coordinate home sleep studies that you can do at home over 1-2 nights. For insomnia, we offer cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), the most effective long-term treatment, alongside medications when appropriate. What to have ready: a description of your sleep problem, how long it's been going on, your typical bedtime and wake time, and whether anyone has told you that you snore.
STI testing and treatment, contraception, erectile dysfunction, gender-affirming care.
Sexual health is health. We provide confidential care including STI testing and treatment (orders sent to Quest or LabCorp), all forms of contraception (pills, rings, IUD referrals, emergency contraception), erectile dysfunction treatment, PrEP for HIV prevention, and gender-affirming care including hormone therapy. All visits are private and protected by HIPAA. What to have ready: a clear sense of what you want to discuss — there's nothing we haven't heard. We approach sexual health without judgment and with cultural humility.
Smoking cessation programs, prescription support, behavioral coaching.
Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health — and it's hard. We use a combination approach: prescription medications (varenicline/Chantix, bupropion), nicotine replacement (patches, gum, lozenges), and behavioral support over multiple visits. Most people need several attempts before quitting for good — every attempt makes the next one more likely to work. What to have ready: how much you smoke, how long you've smoked, your previous quit attempts and what worked or didn't, and what motivates you to quit now.
Diabetes specialty care, thyroid disorders, hormone disorders.
Complex endocrine conditions — uncontrolled diabetes, thyroid nodules, Graves' disease, hormone disorders, low testosterone — benefit from specialty care. Our endocrinology partners include providers from leading NYC academic centers. We can do most visits by video and coordinate any in-person testing (ultrasounds, biopsies) at affiliated locations. What to have ready: all relevant lab results, the names of any medications you've tried, and a clear description of your symptoms.
Get a second opinion on a diagnosis or treatment plan from a NY specialist.
When you've been given a serious diagnosis or a treatment plan with significant implications, a second opinion is often a good idea — and often covered by insurance. We connect you with NY-licensed specialists who can review your records, your imaging, your pathology, and offer their own assessment. This is especially common for cancer diagnoses, complex surgeries, and rare conditions. What to have ready: all your medical records relevant to the diagnosis, any imaging or pathology reports, and a list of specific questions you want answered.
Environmental allergies, food allergies, immune issues.
Allergy and immunology covers environmental allergies (pollen, dust, pet dander), food allergies, drug allergies, chronic hives, and immune system disorders. We start with a thorough history and order any testing that's needed — often skin testing or specific IgE blood tests. For severe allergies, we can prescribe epinephrine auto-injectors and write an allergy action plan. For chronic allergies, we work on long-term control with medications or referrals for allergy shots. What to have ready: a careful list of what you react to, what the reaction looks like, and any tests you've had done before.
